AKA Julie is one of our foundation does. This girl has Superior Genetics above her on both sides of her lineage. She joined our herd in the beginning of 2024 and we are honored to have her! She will live the rest of her days here on our farm. We have her son, two daughters and three grand daughters. She is due to kid any day now! Lanna is one of the biggest does we have in our herd. This girl is massive! She is a great producer, although we haven't tested her production, soon after she kidded with us I had to milk the side her doelings weren't drinking from, she gave me half a gallon from just that side!

Lanna's transition to our farm has been very eventful. She has struggled to get settled in and mourned her previous home. It was quite traumatic, and so we have had a hard time getting her adjusted. Add the toll it takes to kid and raise them, plus climate and environment change, it really messed with her immune system and ability to keep her condition. We treated her twice for mastitis, and upper respiratory infection. We have finally gotten a break through with her and she is getting back into shape. Her doelings were separated at 5 months and we have dried her up. We are not planning on breeding her even though we would love to get her bred for a preservation breeding to Black Mesa Kool Kenai. Her half sister and daughter is breeding with him though, so we have decided to give her a rest.

She is an excellent mother and has a very capacious udder. Her fore udder extends well and she has extra long teats with a nice open flow for easy hand milking. Her rear udder attachment could use an improvement, but I expect her doelings to have that since they were bred to Black Mesa Cruise. I am excited to see how her doelings are improved.
