Farm Merch & Marketing

I know I may be getting a bit ahead of myself with farm merch and marketing, but I think it sets us apart in the long run. Im also a creative person by nature and so I love art and media and mixing the two is something I've always been into. 

When I had our banner made, it was the closest to feeling like our farm is headed in the right direction. Raising animals is a lengthy process, and sometimes can feel obsolete when you have set backs. Its a never ending cycle and so it never really feels like your getting somewhere, until it does. We have made a lot of investments into our farm operation be it equipment or investing in quality stock. There is definitely a sense of urgency to make a profit. Farming takes time, and is not for the impatient. Our focus at the moment is not profits, but establishing our stock and self sustaining farm infrastructure. 

So meanwhile, I decided to play around with our banner. I went with VistaPrint and got some things made that should help us with being recognized or remembered. I truly believe creating a brand for ourselves will make marketing our farm products in the future much easier. Even if its merch that we wear ourselves, or hand out with the purchase of one of our livestock. It is a start. I hope to create more things that we may be able to offer on our website. I love goat themed decor and trinkets, but it seems that the focus is always on Nigerian Dwarf or Alpine breeds and never on Nubians. I hope to change that in some way!
